Maureen A Bryan is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of THE VOICE OF A WOMAN – a platform featuring the works of women in the arts, sharing not only the artistic and aesthetic, but also works to help build a greater awareness of social justice, civil and human rights issues globally.
Maureen received a Masters in directing from The Actors Studio in New York in 1994, under such notables as Ellen Burstyn, Lee Grant, Paul Newman, Arthur Penn and Al Pacino. She has worked for over 25 years in theatre, film and television between London, New York and Los Angeles, but is most passionate about her work in international development. She has received praise over the years for the impact of her work but most notably was honored in 2010 by Dr. Nelson Mandela for the programs she created for youth in communities of greatest need in South Africa.
In 2012 she launched The Voice Of A Woman – Women As Agents Of Social Change Award to acknowledge women in the arts and leadership whose works are impacting culture, society, our world and inspiring the next generation.
